GREENWOOD FARMS is a family farm located in Missouri Ozarks, about 100 miles southwest of St. Louis. It is owned and operated by Steve and Holly Atkinson, their adult children Julie & David, and David’s wife, Kindra. Our farm is nestled in the scenic hills around the Little Piney Creek, farm from the hustle and bustle of urban life. On most days, the only sounds are the calls of birds and the rustling of wind in the trees and the only traffic we contend with are the deer and turkey that share the land with our livestock.
Greenwood Farms is the home of Naturally Raised Beef, Pork, Lamb, and Chicken, Free-Range Eggs, and “Jersey Girl” Grade A Raw Milk—all of which are raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, or added hormones. We believe that working in harmony with nature is the best way to produce foods that are both healthy and delicious. so everything we sell is raised in a way that puts the health of our customers, the animals’ well-being, and the needs of the earth first.

Loved your stories in your blog. We have a small spread in Baja Calif and this is called a ranchito. But it is truly very small, a large garden on one side and animal corrals on the other. we have a male ostrich, Toby, two pot belly pigs, Prietita and Babe who actually answer to Oink and Oinkita.
The first two chickens were named Moey n Joey, but now all the chickens come running to those names, which we cannot separate. There are more than 30 chickens now of different origins. Most are from Moey n Joey (one hen) who was white, but almost all her offspring are brown. The eggs are large and brown. Of course they are free range.
Some turkeys, ducks and geese and bantam chickens all enjoy the good life. The geldings (3) and ponies and donkeys all enjoy the good lifetoo. Almost all were rescue animals or from people who could not keep them or feed them.
I loved your website! Creative! Visually appealing!
